Girls, would you go to a Hooters restaurant with your boyfriend?

Feb 15, 2012

Huh, finally I found the time to write down a couple of words. Good timing – I’ve just decided to accept the offer by the Far Away Kingdom – that’s what I call Russia.
Oh, by the way, let me introduce myself - Mike McNeil, Vice President of Hooters.  I’m responsible for all marketing operations in the company.
So, there was that Russian guy who came up with the idea to open Hooters restaurant in Moscow. My analysts made some research and found the idea quite good. I am a way more skeptical about the perspectives – is it even possible to have competent staff in Russia?
 Kassey
I need to send someone there and I guess I found the right person for the job. Her name is Kassey and she is responsible and disciplined, but can be selfish and arrogant when it comes to working in the team. She is a valuable specialist, but we all are a bit tired of her here. This business trip might be the best option for all of us. And that is her photo from the official profile.

Daniel
There is also a marketing expert, Daniel, from the head office, who is going to come with her.
He is pretty good with the things related to everything international and foreign having worked in the State Department for a while but he believes in market economy and all this new marketing stuff dogmatically, too dogmatically, sometimes being a nerd.

The “Russian guy” is called Ashat and he is responsible for the whole thing in Russia. From what I’ve seen the guy is a very bright individuality, decisive and stubborn, but seems a bit too ambitious sometimes.

Ashat
Luckily his financial director won’t let him fly  too high. She’s called Maria and looks so sweet until you try to coordinate budgeting plans with her. This is her reputation of a reasonable specialist that makes me feel a bit better.
Maria
However, their art director, called Dmitry, troubles me. The guy can make the dead laugh and is active like hell, but looks like he thinks too much of himself. Moreover, he is so superstitious that he never allows making any photos of himself. I guess that’s what you have to put up with working with Russians.
Their marketing director, Anna, is very experienced and competent. What is more important – she obviously knows the market and all of those Russian tricks. The only problem is that she seems to be as skeptical as I am about the whole thing.

Dmitry Anna
Well, let us see how it works out. Must go now; hope to provide more details on the analysts’ research later.
